Te Ruma o Te Marama

2 – 3 years old

In Te Ruma o Te Marama we believe a toddler’s innate potential to learn and grow is endless. This is an age of opportunities where toddlers demand autonomy and challenges that are supported in a patient, calm and nurturing environment. Toddlers love independence and through trusting and reciprocal relationships educators support self-help skills, social-emotional competencies and the holistic development of each child. Language development is rapid during these years and we enjoy plenty of opportunities to be expressive, share our ideas and use our voices to advocate for the wellbeing of ourselves and others. Children have a strong sense of belonging here, they are valued and enjoy a learning environment that enhances their understanding of their own cultures and those of others.
