Our Philosophy
At Scribbles Early Education Centre Mt Wellington, we pride ourselves on ensuring that our parents, whanau, tamariki and Kaiako feel a sense of belonging, empowerment and respect. Relationships are the heart of our early education service and we believe in the importance of partnerships and the role that these partnerships play in supporting children to become capable learners. Our Kaiako work alongside parents and whanau and take into consideration their beliefs, sociocultural and biological influences when constructing a personalised and responsive curriculum for each child.
We place a strong emphasis on ensuring that all children have equitable opportunities to participate, play and explore in a wide range of learning experiences. We encourage our tamariki to be confident in their own capabilities. Te Whāriki – He whāriki mātauranga mō ngā mokopuna o Aotearoa is our guiding curriculum and our centre is underpinned by its principles, strands and goals.
We acknowledge Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the crucial role that we as educators have in providing our tamariki with a culturally inclusive environment that supports their learning.
